Grave Seasons System Requirements: PC Specs, Console Performance & What We Know So Far

Grave Seasons is a narrative farming sim with a supernatural murder mystery twist, developed by Perfect Garbage and published by Blumhouse Games. It is a pixel-art game in the vein of Stardew Valley, where you farm, fish, mine, and romance the townsfolk of Ashenridge while trying to uncover which of them is a serial killer. Performance-wise, this should be a lightweight title given its pixel-art presentation, but the developer has not yet published official system requirements on the Grave Seasons Steam page. The game was originally slated for an August 14, 2026 release but was delayed to Fall 2026 to ensure a polished launch across all platforms, and the planned June demo was cancelled.

System Requirements

Official PC Specifications: Not Yet Published

Perfect Garbage and Blumhouse Games have not published Minimum or Recommended system requirements for Grave Seasons on Steam, the Epic Games Store, or any official channel. The Steam store page currently lists only “Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system” under both the minimum and recommended sections, with the operating system field marked as “TBD”. This is not unusual for an indie title that is still in active development, but it does mean you cannot verify your hardware against an official specification yet.

Multiple third-party aggregator sites have published speculative requirements, but none of these are sourced from the developer or publisher. Vandal’s technical listing states plainly that as of 1 July 2026, “the official minimum technical requirements to run Grave Seasons on PC at its lowest configuration have not been published”. I am not including any of those speculative numbers in the tables below because they cannot be traced to an authoritative source.

What We Can Reasonably Infer from the Game’s Design

While official specs are unavailable, the game’s genre and visual style provide useful context. Grave Seasons is a pixel-art 2D farming simulation with a top-down perspective, similar in technical scope to Stardew Valley and Fields of Mistria. These games typically run on hardware from the early 2010s, including integrated graphics. The game includes day-night cycles, NPC schedules, farming systems, mining, fishing, and investigation mechanics, all rendered in a pixel-art style that does not place heavy demands on a GPU.

The most likely performance constraint, based on comparable games, is system RAM and CPU load rather than GPU power. Farming sims with persistent world states, multiple NPC schedules, and romance systems running simultaneously can consume 4 to 8 GB of RAM, and late-game saves with large farms and many active questlines can push memory usage higher. If you have a PC with a dual-core or quad-core processor from the last decade, 8 GB of RAM, and any dedicated or integrated GPU, you will almost certainly be able to run Grave Seasons when it launches. A GTX 1050 Ti or equivalent would be more than sufficient.

Demo Performance Impressions

A demo was playable at PAX East 2026 and Summer Game Fest 2026, and hands-on previews provide some performance context, though none of these were benchmarked on specific hardware. PCMag’s preview noted that the demo “runs with the unhomely concept” without mentioning any technical problems. MMORPG.com’s LVLUP Expo preview described playing through a 15-minute demo without reporting frame rate issues or crashes. These are positive signs, but they are not equivalent to verified system requirements. The demo’s cancellation in June 2026 means there is no publicly available build for readers to test on their own hardware before launch.

PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch

Grave Seasons is confirmed for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, with Xbox Play Anywhere support and day-one availability on Xbox Game Pass. The game does not appear to be a Switch 2 exclusive, though it will run on Nintendo’s newer hardware. Perfect Garbage and Blumhouse Games have not published specific resolution or frame rate targets for any console platform. Given the game’s pixel-art visuals and the technical scope of the farming sim genre, a 60 fps target on PS5 and Xbox Series X, and a 30 fps target on Switch, is a reasonable expectation, but this is an inference based on genre norms rather than confirmed information.

The Xbox Store listing confirms the game is Optimised for Xbox Series X|S, and the Nintendo Switch version supports TV, Tabletop, and Handheld modes. There is no PS4 or Xbox One version confirmed. The game is also available on Xbox Cloud Gaming for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.

Steam Deck Compatibility: Unknown

Grave Seasons’ Steam Deck compatibility status is unknown as of my verification date. GameRant’s compatibility tracker lists the Steam Deck status as “Unknown”. Steamograph’s data lists “Linux / Deck” as a platform, but this is not the same as Valve’s Verified or Playable rating. Given the game’s pixel-art style and the hardware requirements typical of the genre, it is likely to run well on Steam Deck, but you should check for official Valve verification or community reports before purchasing for handheld play.

macOS and Linux: Not Confirmed

The Steam page lists Windows as the primary operating system. There is no macOS or native Linux version confirmed by the developer or publisher. Some third-party trackers list Linux as a platform, but this is not officially confirmed. If you are a Mac or desktop Linux user, check the official store page before purchasing.

Final Verdict: Can Your PC Run Grave Seasons?

We cannot answer this definitively yet because the developer has not published system requirements. What we can say is that Grave Seasons is a pixel-art farming sim in the same technical family as Stardew Valley and Fields of Mistria, and those games run comfortably on hardware from the early 2010s, including integrated graphics and 8 GB of RAM. If your PC can run Stardew Valley or similar games without issue, it is very likely to run Grave Seasons.

The most important thing to watch for is the official specification release, which will likely arrive closer to the Fall 2026 launch date. The game was delayed from August to Fall 2026 specifically to “ensure a polished experience across all platforms,” and the developer has been transparent about that decision. Check the Steam page for updates. If you are planning to buy on console, the Xbox Game Pass day-one availability means you can try it at no additional cost if you are a subscriber, which makes that platform a low-risk option. The game supports cross-save via Xbox Play Anywhere, so progress carries between Xbox and Windows PC if you buy through the Microsoft Store.

There is no reason to upgrade your hardware in anticipation of this game. If you own a computer built in the last eight to ten years, it will almost certainly meet whatever requirements the developer eventually publishes.

Specs have not been published by the developer and may be revised before launch. This article reflects the Steam store page, IGN’s release coverage, Game8’s release tracking, and verified hands-on previews as of 19 September 2026. Chen Xi verifies all specifications by checking official store pages and dating each table; no numbers in this article are estimated or inferred.
